People in relationships are frequently together in order to have a method of distraction from the thoughts and problems that plague themselves, seeking unhealthy coping mechanisms to use which results in destructive behaviors occurring within both parties. This is demonstrated by the two figures apparent in the image, both are in the action of kissing, but as shown by the disruption of dashes and highly contrasting red hearts, symbols, and red flags, there is conflict within the relationship and within themselves.
